Lights Out to Protect Sea Turtles

Sea Turtle nesting season has begun and runs through October 31st. To make sure newly hatched sea turtles make it safely back to the water turn off or dim your lights if you live anywhere near the beach.  Bright lights distract the turtles and direct them in the wrong direction.

For questions or if you find a nest call the Clearwater Marine Aquarium at
727-441-1790.
